Mediation broadly refers to any instance in which a third party helps others reach agreement. The process is private and confidential, possibly enforced by law. The mediator acts as a neutral third party and facilitates rather than directs the process.

Insurance policies are meant to protect individuals or companies against loss. Insurance firms may unlawfully deny or fail to pursue certain claims for no apparent reason.


A civil legal claim for money damages brought by a individuals who suffered harm as the result of another party's negligence. A person who files a personal injury lawsuit is alleging that the other party caused the plaintiff physical, emotional or commercial harm.
